Wakefield Hospice cared for the late John Monaghan before his death from cancer in 1991 and as such remains the primary beneficiary of our charitable giving. We are one of only seven Advocates, chosen because we are ‘businesses whose ethics and values we feel mirror or complement our own’.

We are also frequent sponsors of individuals undertaking challenging endeavours for charity.

The Group allocates a percentage of its profits every year to Wakefield Hospice and other charitable causes.


We are proud sponsors of the Sandal Rugby Club under 8’s. Here they are looking mean and tough (and very smart until five minutes later..!)

Some of our activity in 2015:

Christmas 2015 – this year we chose to donate £200 to Wakefield Hospice in lieu of sending Christmas cards and gifts to customers – instead they received an email card – tree huggers rejoice!

December 2015 – This year we have once again split the our charity fund according to the wishes of our staff and tried to give to every charity that has been nominated.

Below is a list of charities that have received a donation of between £75 and £230 depending on the number of people who have voted for them.
